How Ai is used in Neelix


Philosophy

At Neelix.IO we believe that Ai should be used in a positive way. This means that it is a productivity tool that helps innovation, but not some "pill" that magically solves certain issues. Ai can help with the development of systemic honesty, and at the same time can be misused. In order to guards against misuse, we have developed Ai assistants with and open source, community driven mindset:

  • The instructions given to the Ai engine are transparently visible to the  operator
  • Community is welcome to raise queries, enhancement requests or suggest new templates - see library of templates
  • We supported multiple instruction sets - these are configured in Neelix.IO as a library of instructions that can be used when interacting with the Ai


Default settings

When you open a space in Neelix, Ai integration is disabled by default.

The administrator of the subscription can enable and disable this feature at any time from settings.


Usage

  • Journaling

    Your journal is likely to accumulate a number reflective thinking posts and simply notes about experiences. Ai Assistant can be used to produce an easy summary across all  posts. You can also chat and experiement with asking Ai to convert the summary into a humours version or even poem.

  • Retrospective

    • The purpose is to assist with creating the commentary for the card on the retrospective board that has links to posts from the journal
    • OpenAi is provided with a context setting instruction and the list of journal entries to be summaries
    • OpenAi provides suggested summary
    • You can request OpenAi to refine the commentary
    • Once commentary is to your liking, you can hit "Save" button to update the specific card on the retrospective board

  • Confidence Votes

    • Get an easy executive summary of all votes
    • Get an easy summary of top themes people mentioned when voting

  • Live Pulse Analytics

    • Get an eagle eye view executive summary  of all feedback
    • Get an easy digest summary of commentaries attached to feedback data points that draw specific visualisations in Neelix
    • Drill down to specific context and leverage Ai Assistant for summarising all feedback
    • Identify actions suggested by people within their feedback

Actual Use Policy

  • You will be charged for actual use only
  • Billing cycle is monthly
  • Changes to pricing will be advertised via email one month in advance
  • OpenAi uses the concept of tokens - mode details. Our costs are pass-through with additional margin to cover our costs of facilitation the capability
  • Number of token is reported by OpenAi API and transparently reported in your Subscription profile in Neelix
  • We aggregate your requests once a months and add actual charge to the standard ongoing bill. There are nil charges if you did not make any Ai assistant requests.

Pricing and Billing as of Feb 2024:

  • AUD$0.50 / 1K tokens

 

implementation Details

  • We connect to OpenAi api. 
  • We keep up with OpenAi developments and periorically upgrade to tatrget LLM model
  • the assistant uses API calls to "/chat/completions"
  • user can choose a system instruction set from the library that is transparently published to the community
  • Ai chat assistant allows the operator to interact with OpenAi in order to refine the result if the original suggestion was not fully accurate
